Tragedy in Kaduna: Explosion Kills Two Children, Aged 13 and 6, in Abakpa Neighborhood

According to reports, two children, Imam, 13, and Narin, 6, were killed in an explosion in the Kaduna State neighborhood of Abakpa.

According to reports, the explosion that happened on Tuesday near the former location of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Kaduna also injured three locals.

 

The reason of the explosion has not been determined, but security personnel are on the site to conduct an investigation, according to Daily Trust.

An unnamed local neighbor told the magazine that he was taking a bath when he heard the explosion and rushed outside.

 

“The explosion occurred very close to my house. So when I heard it, I ran out to see what has happened. I saw one of the affected victims, Imam, and tried to take him to the hospital but he d!ed before we got to the hospital,” he said.

 

Although the incident’s specifics are still unclear at the time of this report, many are still in shock and are afraid.
