Kingsley Fanwo, the Kogi State Commissioner for Information, has responded to suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s accusation of assassination.
During Tuesday’s homecoming rally in her hometown of Okehi Local Government Area, Akpoti-Uduaghan accused the Kogi government of planning her murder.
She went on to say that she had already informed the police about the development.
“The second thing he said was that he should try and kill me. I didn’t make this public, but I have written to the IG of Police.
“Akpabio told Yahaya Bello that he should make sure that killing me does not happen in Abuja, that it should happen here so that it will look as if it was the people that killed me here,” Akpoti-Uduaghan said.
In his response, Fanwo denied the assassination plot, adding that Kogi Governor Usman Ododo and Senate President Godswill Akpabio never talked about anything of the sort.
“The governor (Ododo) and the senate president never discussed anything that has to do with the suspended senator (Natasha) of Kogi Central.
“There was no conversation to recall her, and there was no conversation to assassinate her,” Fanwo stated in an interview with Channels TV.
