GKI is seeking an experienced Business Strategy Advisor to co-create a sustainable business and go-to-market strategy for its new eLearning course. This advisory role is crucial to ensuring that the course not only generates positive social impact but also becomes financially sustainable through well-designed revenue and distribution models.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Strategic Business Planning
- Develop impact and sustainability metrics to guide implementation and long-term success.
- Recommend key Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) that balance social value with financial viability.
Market & Competitor Analysis
- Lead a detailed landscape analysis of comparable eLearning platforms.
- Identify audience segments, market gaps, and opportunities for GKI’s positioning.
Business Model Development
- Propose at least two viable business models, aligned with GKI’s mission and operational constraints.
- Evaluate scalability, resource requirements, and investment needs for each model.
- Recommend the most sustainable and mission-aligned option.
Revenue & Pricing Strategy
- Design a tiered pricing structure for different customer segments (individuals, institutions, donors).
- Deliver financial projections for a 2–3-year period, including break-even analysis and potential ROI.
Distribution & Partnerships
- Recommend go-to-market strategies, including promotional tactics and ideal distribution channels.
- Identify and propose potential partnerships for scale and credibility.
Business Case & Marketing Collateral
- Develop a compelling slide deck and one-pager to present the course to partners, donors, and institutional buyers.
- Offer strategic input on early marketing drafts and branding considerations.
Implementation Roadmap
- Deliver a final strategy handoff, including:
- Key recommendations
- Action plan for rollout
- Resource allocation guidance
- Timelines for execution
The Advisor will collaborate closely with GKI’s executive, program, and communications teams. An iterative, feedback-driven process is expected throughout the consultancy.
Who Should Apply
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional experience in business strategy or digital product development
- Proven track record of launching or advising eLearning products or scalable digital services
- Expertise in market research, business modeling, and stakeholder engagement
- Strong communication, synthesis, and presentation skills
- Comfortable working in a nonprofit or social impact context
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with innovation ecosystems, international development, or systems change
- Experience creating products for global and multilingual audiences
- Prior consulting roles with mission-driven organizations or education providers
