According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, Israeli airstrikes throughout the Gaza Strip have killed over 200 Palestinians, many of them women and children.
Hamas claims that Israel violated the ceasefire agreement in Gaza by launching a “treacherous” attack on stranded and vulnerable civilians. Israel has been accused by Palestinian Islamic Jihad of “deliberately sabotaging” the ceasefire, which has been in effect since January 19.
According to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the strikes were ordered because ceasefire negotiations had not advanced.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, Israel’s war on Gaza has resulted in at least 48,577 confirmed Palestinian deaths and 112,041 injuries. Thousands of Palestinians who went missing beneath the debris are thought to be dead, according to the Gaza Government Media Office, which updated its death toll to over 61,700. During the October 7, 2023, attacks led by Hamas, at least 1,139 people were killed and over 200 were captured in Israel.
